The International Practical Shooting Confederation,
is the organizing body for the sport
of practical shooting on a world wide basis with over 67 countries as member
regions.
The United States Practical
Shooting Association (USPSA), is a non profit organization which is the
organizing body for the sport in the United States. The USPSA is affiliated with the
IPSC and is one of the member regions of the IPSC.
The USPSA/IPSC is divided into eight Areas
covering the United States. Each Area has an elected Area
Director and within each Area there are several Sections.
Two or more (usually more) shooting clubs make up each Section.
Shooting Clubs and organizations mentioned herein are all affiliated with
USPSA/IPSC. All
of these organizations, in part, are organized to further the sport of practical shooting.
It is their goal to make the term "Practical Shooting" synonymous with
"Safe, Fun, Family Shooting."
